The Smith & Wesson® SW22 Victory® is a popular rimfire pistol for Rimfire Challenge, Steel Challenge and other shooting sports competitions, and is great for beginner and junior shooters. For other shooters with smaller hands, reaching the magazine release button while shooting can be a challenge. Even shooters with larger hands often struggle to easily and consistently release the magazine when adding thicker grips to their Smith & Wesson® Victory® pistol.

Review of magazine release
My hands are small so it was difficult for me to reach the magazine release so that I could quickly insert another magazine. This release works perfectly and the guys I shoot with were impressed. It’s also very easy to install.

SW22 Victory Extended Mag Release
The Extended Mag Release functions as it is intended to. However, the button sticks out about 2x more than it should. It really gets in the way during the purchase with my left, weak hand. I have dropped the mag multiple times during my draw in competition. Also, the round button, that I prefer, lacks the texture or knurling that I would like. I am either going to cut and re-tap the Extended release button or just sell it.

I found the magazine release of high quality and easy to install. I can't use it, however, because it sticks too far out and gets in the way of my handling the pistol. Good idea, but impractical for me. I let several of my students try the pistol with the installed release and they had trouble also working around it.

Big Change
I have found that the release extension is a vast improvement over stock. You don't have to search for the release, it is there.

Shooter
The mag Release works very well and helps the speed of changing mags during competitions. The only problem is, the extended paddle and button does not fit into my holster with a mag in the pistol, the mag keeps popping out due to the height of the extended paddle release.

Ext Mag Release
Very nice looking product. However, it does not work very well with the stock or upgraded grips, it sticks out waaaay too far and interferes with your grip/hold...probably works great with the large wood target grips.
