Steel Hammer Bushing for Mark III and 22/45 Pistols

At a glance:
  • Magazines will slip right out
  • Easier takedown and cleaning
  • Can reduce failure to feeds
  • Comes with colored installation instructions

This high quality 304 stainless steel bushing is made for high duty cycle shooting and replaces the Ruger® factory bushing allowing you to safely remove the magazine disconnect from the firearm. There are instructions on the internet showing the use of washers and other parts, but this is unreliable and unsafe! Use an actual part that is designed for the job. This bushing lets the hammer move properly and at the correct speed. You will be pleased with the fit and final result with this bushing. If you know how to clean this gun you can easily remove the disconnect. Removing the disconnect allows the magazines to fall free, allows them to seat properly and does allow the gun to fire with the magazine out for tactical competition and self-defense scenarios. Check to see if your state requires the magazine disconnect installed if the firearm is ever resold.

*** ATTN: FAQ: Will this bushing work in my Volquartsen Hammer? YES. The bushing and VQ hammer will work together. However, it can be a tight fit to get them together. Please let us know if you are experiencing trouble and we will get you a bushing that will fit into the tighter VQ hammer.

    Bushing

If you have a Ruger Pistol, (mine is a LITE)this is well worth the $10. The gun is so much easier to take down and reassemble. plus the trigger feels less gritty with less moving parts, especially when the gun gets a little dirty at the range. Plus the mags go in and drop out much easier.

Fit and function are great, the part has a nice finish and was easy to install. I recommend this product because I didn't like how you always had to have the mag in the firearm.

Nice, simple addition to my 22/45

Install was easy by following the video. Mags drop right out and not having to manipulate the magazine during disassembly / reassembly is nice too.
