This high quality 304 stainless steel bushing is made for high duty cycle shooting and replaces the Ruger® factory bushing allowing you to safely remove the magazine disconnect from the firearm. There are instructions on the internet showing the use of washers and other parts, but this is unreliable and unsafe! Use an actual part that is designed for the job. This bushing lets the hammer move properly and at the correct speed. You will be pleased with the fit and final result with this bushing. If you know how to clean this gun you can easily remove the disconnect. Removing the disconnect allows the magazines to fall free, allows them to seat properly and does allow the gun to fire with the magazine out for tactical competition and self-defense scenarios. Check to see if your state requires the magazine disconnect installed if the firearm is ever resold.

This upgrade is a must
This hammer bushing replacement part is a must upgrade component. It removes the stupid magazine disconnect safety and allows the magazines to drop free from the firearm. I had to actually pull the magazine from my 22/45 prior to adding this part. Which is just retarded. The instructional videos on the TK site are spot on, and this company actually cares both about delivering a quality product and our satisfaction as customers. This is a vendor that is truly deserving of your patronage.. Which is sadly too uncommon.

This is a must have for a 22/45. Quality is very good. Install is not to bad. The mag drops free like it should now and its a little easier to assemble.

I purchased two of the stainless steel bushings for both my Mark III and 22/45. If you are apprehensive in purchasing the bushing for the 22/45, rest assured you'll be very satisfied. Order the part, watch the video covering installation, and then enjoy your 22/45! Great product and a great company! Note: I did not install the bushing in my Mark III - the procedure for installation was going to be different than the 22/45,and I felt it was in my best interest to wait for a later date.

The way it should have been designed.....
This was an essential upgrade. The gun should have been designed this way, the function is much better. Makes the magazine drop free (it actually springs out now!) and magazines go in smoother.
