This high quality 304 stainless steel bushing is made for high duty cycle shooting and replaces the Ruger® factory bushing allowing you to safely remove the magazine disconnect from the firearm. There are instructions on the internet showing the use of washers and other parts, but this is unreliable and unsafe! Use an actual part that is designed for the job. This bushing lets the hammer move properly and at the correct speed. You will be pleased with the fit and final result with this bushing. If you know how to clean this gun you can easily remove the disconnect. Removing the disconnect allows the magazines to fall free, allows them to seat properly and does allow the gun to fire with the magazine out for tactical competition and self-defense scenarios. Check to see if your state requires the magazine disconnect installed if the firearm is ever resold.

Hammer Bushing
Great product. Easy to follow directions for installation. This makes the 22/45 a pleasure to use again with drop free magazines and not as many steps in the disassembly process. I would recommend this product.

Great product, but not necessary with volquartsen accuratizing kit
I ordered this product at the same time I ordered a Volquartsen accuratizing kit for my 22/45 lite. When I got them in the mail, I realized that the volquartsen kit already has a magazine disconnect bushing but it appeared to be of lesser quality. Since I already had the TandemKross bushing, I decided to put it in with the volquartsen kit and the whole thing works great. Magazine drops right out and it takes a few pesky steps out of the disassembly and reassembly process. Great product well worth the money.

Made my good 22/45 LITE a great gun
I ordered the bushing the same day I bought my 22/45 lite. Maryland has a 7 day waiting period, so the busing arrived before I had the gun in my possession. I wanted a before an after impression so, I waiting until after my first range day to install the bushing. Just the bushing alone made a huge difference in my shooting experience. At time before the installation, seating the magazine would take a firm push, after they just clicked in. Before the magazine would barely eject. After they drop right out. Before the bushing I had a couple of double feeds. After none. But that may just have been factory grease or something. (CCI standard velocity in both cases) The hardest part of the installation was the take down and re-assembly of the pistol. As I already own a Mark II I knew what to expect. (soft faced mallet was needed to gently encourage the receiver to separate from the grip)

Great Modification for Ruger 22/45
I was originally debating between purchasing this bushing through Tandemkross or the bushing that Volquartsen makes. I have to say I am very happy I went with this bushing. The bushing is excellent quality and fit perfectly in my 22/45 Lite. Quick shipping and top notch customer service. Installation was very straight forward, however the installation videos produced by Tandemkross can be lifesavers if you are new to the Mark series pistols. Can't approve this product enough. Now have drop free mags and i'm loving it! Pick one up today!

Bushing Happiness
Replaced the bushing in both of my 22/45's, which was easy to do after watching the TK videos. Installing this bushing allows the magazines to fall freely upon ejection and omits the use of the magazine for reassembly.

Now my 22/45's a "regular" pistol!
While I'm super careful about keeping ammo and magazines out of reach when cleaning my firearms I never liked the idea of slapping in a mag to drop the hammer on my Mark III 22/45 to begin the field stripping process. This was an easy, drop-in mod. Just watch the great You Tube video and get rid of the pesky mag disconnect in a few minutes.
