This high quality 304 stainless steel bushing is made for high duty cycle shooting and replaces the Ruger® factory bushing allowing you to safely remove the magazine disconnect from the firearm. There are instructions on the internet showing the use of washers and other parts, but this is unreliable and unsafe! Use an actual part that is designed for the job. This bushing lets the hammer move properly and at the correct speed. You will be pleased with the fit and final result with this bushing. If you know how to clean this gun you can easily remove the disconnect. Removing the disconnect allows the magazines to fall free, allows them to seat properly and does allow the gun to fire with the magazine out for tactical competition and self-defense scenarios. Check to see if your state requires the magazine disconnect installed if the firearm is ever resold.

I installed the bushing in my Mk III competition, not because I was experiencing problems with the magazine disconnect but to clean up the internals of the pistol. Having performed the Volksquartsen trigger upgrade, I was very familiar with the internals of the Mk III. The bushing replacement went without a hitch, taking all of 5 minutes. The videos available on your site are clear and would provide a novice with the confidence to "do it yourself". The gun performs flawlessly. Well done! And thank you for your professionalism.

I just got back from the CMP Marksmanship park here in NE Alabama. I ordered a hammer bushing and fire sights for my 22/45 Mk III. I'd previously watched the video on installation of the bushing, and it was easier than I'd anticipated! Took almost 15 minutes to do, from initial tear-down to completed reassembly! VERY simple upgrade - if you have a Mk III with that asinine mag-safety, you really do owe it to yourself to spend the ten bucks on this! The sites were pretty cut'n'dried, even faster to swap than the bushing installation! I ordered these parts last Friday (date doesn't matter, really) and I also ordered a couple internal parts for a different Ruger direct from Ruger. I've already received my parts from TK, installed & tested them - Ruger still hasn't even SHIPPED the stuff I ordered! You can't beat service like that!

TK Hammer Bushing
I am so pleased with my Ruger 22/45 after I installed the hammer bushing. I enjoy the easy in which the mag freely falls and it eliminates having to insert the mag several times during disassembly. The hammer bushing is a must have and you won't be disappointed. The quality of material is excellent and it can't get any better knowing that it has a life-time guaranty.

Steel Hammer Bushing for Mark III and 22/45 Pistols
I purchased two of these bushings. I have two 22/45 pistols, one stainless and one blued. When I installed them, the first one, it took a while since I had never done it before and I like to go slow, so I don't screw anything up. The second one took about 2 minutes to install. They work perfectly and make a great gun even better. I don't know why so many people have trouble field stripping the 22/45's. Just have patience and practice a little. Anyway, the Tandemkross Steel Hammer Bushing is even better, eliminating the magazine disconnect and allowing magazines to drop freely like any good pistol should. Well designed product. One of the better parts upgrades that I have purchased for any of my guns. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Good Mod to the MK III
Installed this in my MK III Hunter. A little tricky but the video helped a lot. Nice fit, good function. Makes installation of the main spring easier as well as eliminates the magazine interlock. Works so good, I just ordered one for my MK III Bull Barrel Target model.

Just installed the bushing and it works exactly as promised. The mags drop free with ease and the trigger seems to feel a little better. I only had the chance to put about 20 test fire rounds after assembly so some more comparison with my stock 22/45 is in order. The instructions are very complete and easy to follow. A must have upgrade.
