Steel Hammer Bushing for Mark III and 22/45 Pistols

At a glance:
  • Magazines will slip right out
  • Easier takedown and cleaning
  • Can reduce failure to feeds
  • Comes with colored installation instructions

This high quality 304 stainless steel bushing is made for high duty cycle shooting and replaces the Ruger® factory bushing allowing you to safely remove the magazine disconnect from the firearm. There are instructions on the internet showing the use of washers and other parts, but this is unreliable and unsafe! Use an actual part that is designed for the job. This bushing lets the hammer move properly and at the correct speed. You will be pleased with the fit and final result with this bushing. If you know how to clean this gun you can easily remove the disconnect. Removing the disconnect allows the magazines to fall free, allows them to seat properly and does allow the gun to fire with the magazine out for tactical competition and self-defense scenarios. Check to see if your state requires the magazine disconnect installed if the firearm is ever resold.

*** ATTN: FAQ: Will this bushing work in my Volquartsen Hammer? YES. The bushing and VQ hammer will work together. However, it can be a tight fit to get them together. Please let us know if you are experiencing trouble and we will get you a bushing that will fit into the tighter VQ hammer.

Best upgrade ever made for the newer Ruger 22's. Easy to install, great instructions. Gets rid of the extra junk the government requires. Makes it easier to field strip and clean the gun.

After careful research on the issue of the magazine not freely coming out of the Ruger 22/45 it was clear that the TK steel hammer bushing was the overall favorite of those who had replaced theirs. I purchased one and received it very quickly. The U Tube video and instructions gave me the confidence to complete the job on my own. My magazines now fall freely.

Mags drop freely. You don't need a mag to field strip.

Hammer bushing for Mark III 22/45

Had bought a similar item from another company. When I got it, noticed it was for Mark II. Read up on it and found it could cause safety issues if used in Mark III. Bought this bushing and it works like a charm. Provides better trigger pull and does away with the magazine safety. Great product.

These Tandemkross bushings are the best you can buy. I have installed in a 22/45 lite, a 22/45 target and a mk lll (stainless frame). Use this in combination with a target sear and trigger and you will have a great (amazing actually) trigger.

Second order. Instead of struggling to remove the magazine it just drops out. Installation is a breeze, goes quickly. Suggest getting TK extended Magazine Bumpers for all of your 22-45 magazines. You don't need the Pro +1 Spring loaded bumpers, just the plain Extended bumper. I do like the extra length and the extra capacity of the Pro +1, I just left the springs out, they are not needed with the bushing.

This is how it should have come from the factory

I purchased two of these. One for a 22/45 and one for a MK III. Great enhancement. Mags drop free and no more irritating "safety feature" of having to have the magazine in the pistol to drop the hammer. Install is easy/instructions are solid.

Very easy to install but was a loose fit, much looser than I expected. Probably going to have to purchase a spec milled bushing to decrease slop and wear.
