This high quality 304 stainless steel bushing is made for high duty cycle shooting and replaces the Ruger® factory bushing allowing you to safely remove the magazine disconnect from the firearm. There are instructions on the internet showing the use of washers and other parts, but this is unreliable and unsafe! Use an actual part that is designed for the job. This bushing lets the hammer move properly and at the correct speed. You will be pleased with the fit and final result with this bushing. If you know how to clean this gun you can easily remove the disconnect. Removing the disconnect allows the magazines to fall free, allows them to seat properly and does allow the gun to fire with the magazine out for tactical competition and self-defense scenarios. Check to see if your state requires the magazine disconnect installed if the firearm is ever resold.

This part corrects the stupidity of Ruger's lawyers in advising a terrible magazine disconnect for the Mk 3 pistol. If you have a Mk 3 you need this.

Steel hammer bushing
I have owned my mkIII for years & enjoy shooting it other than having to dig the magazines out of it. I got the Tandemkross steel hammer bushing to delete the magazine safety. So simple to install. Now when I hit the mag release, the magazine spits out. Thanks Tandemkross for making good guns GREAT!

Great part! Makes things soo much easier. So glad I installed this part. Major improvement to the gun. I am having much more fun now that I dont have to dig the magazine out to put another one in. I cant believe what a little bushing could do for a gun.

My 22/45 was way worse than the normal pita for dis/reassembly. And mag was very tight. Reassembly is now 200% easier and mag just drops out. Wish I had looked for this fix a long time ago. Thanks TK. You'll hear from me again!!

Perfect fit and easy installation (with some video prep)make this a must have for any mk3. Mags drop out freely and gun will fire with no magazine like it should.
