This high quality 304 stainless steel bushing is made for high duty cycle shooting and replaces the Ruger® factory bushing allowing you to safely remove the magazine disconnect from the firearm. There are instructions on the internet showing the use of washers and other parts, but this is unreliable and unsafe! Use an actual part that is designed for the job. This bushing lets the hammer move properly and at the correct speed. You will be pleased with the fit and final result with this bushing. If you know how to clean this gun you can easily remove the disconnect. Removing the disconnect allows the magazines to fall free, allows them to seat properly and does allow the gun to fire with the magazine out for tactical competition and self-defense scenarios. Check to see if your state requires the magazine disconnect installed if the firearm is ever resold.

Totally worth it!
I love this mod! Great video by TK on how to change out to the bushing too. This mod I should have done when they first released it. Mag drops freely now and the patrol will fire without the magazine, perfect for me! Plus, this mod makes cleaning your pistol easier and quicker, how? No need to insert mag, take mag out, etc... Anymore. Be sure to let them know if you have the Volquartsen Accurizing kit installed so they can ship you the correct bushing. Thanks TK for a great product!

A must have
If you can only buy one mod for your 22/45 make it this one. not only does it improve the ejection of the mag, but it also makes it safer to disassemble your gun. you should never have to put a mag in the gun to disassemble it. easy to install It took me less than 10 min to do (i am no gun smith).

Self?
Some guy actually posted a video on youtube about how his mind was all out of whack because this bushing did not just slide into a Volquartsen hammer. It's a press fit. Start with a brass hammer; finish with a C clamp. Pretty easy and works perfectly.

Mag release bushing.
The part is awesome. My mags fly out of the pistol now when I press the release button. The only problem is the instructions from tandemkross are horrible. I had to rely on YouTube to get it installed.

Simply put, it does everything it's intended to. Smoother trigger pull, eliminates magazine disconnect on the Mk III, and simplifies takedown by removing a step. Totally worth the cost and a fairly simple upgrade to your Mk series pistol.
