Steel Hammer Bushing for Mark III and 22/45 Pistols
- Magazines will slip right out
- Easier takedown and cleaning
- Can reduce failure to feeds
- Comes with colored installation instructions
This high quality 304 stainless steel bushing is made for high duty cycle shooting and replaces the Ruger® factory bushing allowing you to safely remove the magazine disconnect from the firearm. There are instructions on the internet showing the use of washers and other parts, but this is unreliable and unsafe! Use an actual part that is designed for the job. This bushing lets the hammer move properly and at the correct speed. You will be pleased with the fit and final result with this bushing. If you know how to clean this gun you can easily remove the disconnect. Removing the disconnect allows the magazines to fall free, allows them to seat properly and does allow the gun to fire with the magazine out for tactical competition and self-defense scenarios. Check to see if your state requires the magazine disconnect installed if the firearm is ever resold.

*** ATTN: FAQ: Will this bushing work in my Volquartsen Hammer? YES. The bushing and VQ hammer will work together. However, it can be a tight fit to get them together. Please let us know if you are experiencing trouble and we will get you a bushing that will fit into the tighter VQ hammer.

Great Product!
I recently installed this in my 22/45. My only regret is that I didn't install it years ago. It makes a world of difference in my gun! If you can field strip your 22/45 and follow instructions, you can install this part yourself. I recommend watching the instructional video before you do it, as there are a few helpful tips in the video that didn't make it into the written instructions.

Customer
I installed this bushing in my Mark III 22/25 and could not be more pleased. It makes disassembly and reassembly so much easier. There are few how-to videos on Youtube, but be sure to use the Tandemkross video. Having a helper makes taking the spring pressure off easier for simply pushing the pin out of the way.

Steel hammer bushing for Mark III
Bushing fit perfectly with no problems during installation. Gun dry fires fine and I have no doubt it will work once I get to the range. Great product and fast shipping.

Mr
Part does its job well. These guys sent me a custom replacement asap when the first one didn't fit the Volquaartsen trigger I had installed.

Great upgrade
Easy cheap upgrade that works! It gets rid of the mag safety easier when you need to take the gun apart and ejects the mags out better so your not have to reach and pull the mags out every time.

Worth it!
I installed two of these in a pair or MkIIIs and am quite pleased with the results. I did encounter an anomaly: My MKIIIs actually have older MkI styled sear springs in them from the factory. That made sliding the pin over to remove the hammer & mag disconnect and spring a little easier. Thing was, I accidentally pulled one pin out completely and couldn't figure out why my pistol's sear spring didn't match the instructions. I contacted Mr. Eric Paulson in tech support and after a couple of calls and emails, he helped me figure it out. In fact, the springs were a surprise to him, too. Bottom line? The bushings are a great addition to a pre-MkIV pistol. =)
