Was able to get one of these after a 3 month wait in order to be restocked. Good product and easy installation. Enhanced my shooting experience while reducing wear on the receiver

    Shock Block

Posted by Greg Pettis on 21st Jul 2023

After installing all the other great [TK] stuff to make a Ruger PC really work well in AMBIDEXTROUS MODE, I wasn't really sure the Shock Block would add much, but thought, why not? Turns out it does just what it says. I don't understand how it works, but it does eliminate that plastic slap sound. Much like a "silent spring" system in an AR gets rid of the "boing" sound of the giant spring. I don't know that there is any less recoil, but it doesn't seem quite as sharp of a recoil. My favorite [TK] item is still the Cornerstone Safety, for both the 10/22, and the PC, and just seems so natural, it is the way both should come from Ruger.

    Noticeable Difference

Posted by Evan on 10th Jun 2022

This shock block gets you a noticeable reduction in the sharp recoil of the PC Carbine. Instead of a sharp whack I now get a softer muted recoil impulse. It's a noticeable difference. I recommend it.

    Bolt Buffer for ruger pcc

Posted by Adam on 22nd May 2022

Good addition to my ruger Pcc. Solid build and easy install, I installed when I did a normal cleaning. Hard to tell the change in felt recoil but definitely quiets the bolt stopping clunk before reset. Already shot 500rds with it and no change in durability.

    Bolt Buffer

Quality manufactured piece that installs super easy. As a way of prolonging the life of the weapon I can't understand why Ruger didn't go this route. I mean... Ruger is known for long lasting weapons and quality machining, etc. So why the cheesy polymer buffer pad? Get with the program Ruger!

    good product with minor issue

Posted by Jim Z on 24th Apr 2022

I bought this shock buffer & installed it easily. Took my PC Carbine to the range & everything worked as expected. I did have one issue when I went to disassemble the rifle for cleaning. When I pulled on the shock buffer like I normally do to pull the bolt out for cleaning the rubber part of the shock buffer came away from the steel pins and spring mount. The rubber was in my hands but I had trouble getting the rest of the shock buffer out of the rifle. I am not sure the rubber part of the shock buffer was o come off the rest of the 2 pins and the spring retainer. I was able to put the rubber part back on once I got the assy with the 2 pins on it out of the rifle. I have not been back to the range to test the rifle out again yet. I am a little concerned on how easy that rubber honeycomb part came off the 2 mounting pins.
