Best of all, the TANDEMKROSS Captured Spring Rod has smooth stainless steel polished "nose" on it -- no unsightly screw like other brands. By replacing your factory guide rod with the TANDEMKROSS Captured spring rod, you will see less up and down movement of the slide as it is stiffer than the plastic factory rod.

    The "Sentinel" Stainless Steel Captured Spring Guide Rod for Ruger® SR22 ended the FTE problem that plagued my wife's Ruger SR22, no matter what ammunition she fed the pistol. Since installation of the new guide rod and spring, 200+ rounds have been consecutively fired with no FTE, no jams.

    Captured recoil spring SR22

    One of the best, and least expensive, upgrades to the SR22. The guide rod that comes with the Ruger is plastic and with the recoil spring it is in two pieces. Too easy to lose one or the other. The Tandemkross captured spring is a single entity, fits easily, and works flawlessly. It s the one upgrade that should be done to the SR22.

    Fun Gun Again!

    My 10 year old SR22 would rarely make it through a magazine without a jam or stove pipe regardless of ammo. I had given up but my wife loves to shoot it. Ordered this spring combo and it is like new again. We shot 400+ rounds bulk ammo yesterday with no issues other than 2 fail to fire rounds. Not the guns fault! Best $20 I've spent in a long time.

    Swapping out that stock plastic guide rod with this stainless one is instantly noticable! Smoother cycling and noticeable reduction in recoil!!!
