    Lots of FTF's

Posted by Dan Martin on 23rd Dec 2017

I have a couple thousand rounds through my original SR22 with maybe a handful of FTF's in that whole load using all kinds of ammo. Put in this replacement rod and spring and now have two or more FTF's with every mag. Frustrating, as I left my stock rod and spring at home and moved to FL for the winter. Gotta find a stock spring and rod somehow now..

    Helped with low cost ammo

Posted by Steve on 7th Dec 2017

I was having a problem with FTL and FTE on my SR22 with Federal round nose ammo. It seems to fail on every round. After researching the problem on-line, I learned that replacing the return spring polymer rod with a steel rod fixes it. After getting this one, instead of failures every round, I got only 4 failures in 40 rounds. This was a very inexpensive fix.

    Wish it worked

I have the 3.5" SR22 and this did not work in mine. Spring pressure is about half of the stock spring and doesn't keep the slide in battery. Customer service is excellent, said they visually checked another and sent unit with same results. After 2 attempts it appears they have a batch of defective springs. First time to be disappointed with TK.

    it works

was not completely happy with the way the pistol shot stock and there is not a whole lot of after market performance items for the SR22. Installed the Sentinel rod and spring kit and accuracy did improve! Shipping was very fast and build quality is great, highly recommended

    Excellent Product

Bought one of these for both the SR22 and a Walther P22. Both are well made, and drop in easily. The Walther performs flawlessly (as it always has done). The SR22 is a bit more finicky - I've had a few failures to feed. I attribute that to the gun being new and needing some break-in, since it has had less than a brick of ammo through it (had similar FTF prior to installing the captured spring rod. Makes reassembly after cleaning a breeze, so well worth the price.

    Fantastic

On anticipation of of receiving this part I took it to the range and put it to the test. I fired several hundred rounds of various manufactured .22 without a single problem or concern. The Sentinal holds up nicely, it's easy to manage and maintain and it has great appeal. I'm very happy with this piece.
