22/45 mag issues…fixed.
Love my Mk IV, hated shooting it, very frustrating. I began the process. Did some polishing, less than pleased. The magazine felt gritty, would bind half way, the feed was lousy. The green springs were first in the cart, hmm, then the red follower, and lastly the follower buttons. Enough for 3 magazines. A little bit more polishing, off to the range. Man what a difference, I ripped off 10 rounds repeatedly, tested different ammo. Very pleased. Feels so smooth. Next up eagles talon extractor, had some failure to eject from the chamber..different issue.

Non-galling Magazine follower buttons by Rim/Edge
These mag follower buttons install very easily. Before putting them into the magazines, I did some minor magazine tuning as recommended by other purchasers (see video under Factory 10-round Magazine for Ruger Mark IV 22/45). Even minor tuning makes a noticeable difference in helping the follower buttons slide smoother. Combined with the green magazine springs already installed, these mags are significantly more reliable - not that I had any problems with them before the upgrades, but now the stronger and smoother action of the followers adds a greater sense of assurance that there will not be any Failure-To-Feed issues. I am also really glad I paid TK’s very reasonable (even low) costs for the mag buttons and green springs to get the improvements. “Making good guns great!” - Or has someone already said that?
