Way better than the factory grips. Greatly improves the grip especially when your hands get sweaty. A must have for Steel Challenge. Word of warning, take your time and be very careful when installing. S&W decided not to use bushings for the top grip screws. The top screws go directly into the aluminum farm and can be cross threaded very easily. I wish I had taken a little extra time! I ended up having to retap my frame and order new grip screws but that was not the fault of the grips.

Been there
After decades of being a cop and instructor, I know what works for me and line officers; sticky rubber grips that fill the hand. These fit the bill. The Hive Grip is a huge improvement over the OEM grips, but if you come out with a V2 please consider a more "tacky" compound and something slightly larger. Absent that, these are the solution to marrying your hand to the pistol.
