Installation was easy. I concur that alternating screw tightening is needed. The fear of stripping the threads loomed over me. I wondered if a slightly recessed nut & bolt method (or pre-heli-coiled or titanium halo) might be a future possibility. However, I had no indication at all that the halo was metallurgically inferior in any way. I am shocked at how easy I can retract the slide now. Commenting on a previous question, the halo fits my California compliant model. See slide variations at Browning website for CA arms. P.S. Product suggestions- 1) Halos for all (most) semi-auto arms. 2) Clamp-on 12 x 28 threaded muzzle tips for accessories and those of us that recycle cleaning solvent.

Great accessory
This charging ring is a great accessory for the Browning BuckMark. If anyone who shoots this gun has a problem with working the bolt THIS IS THE SOLUTION! Virtually anybody can now operate the pistol with the aid of the charging ring. What used to be a somewhat challenging task is now a one-finger process. If you need help charging, get this ring and problem evaporates.
