Makes the Gun A Keeper
The charging ring has made the difference between keeping the Victory or getting rid of it. I cannot rack the slide at all without it. To be clear, I would never buy a gun if I could not rack the slide in the first place, and strangely, I had no problems doing so when I rented and first shot the gun at a local range. Nor did I have any problems when I bought my own (new). After several shooting sessions without any issues, the slide suddenly became basically frozen. Neither my husband nor the guys at the local gun store could get it to budge. S&W replaced the hammer, but this resulted in only a slight improvement. My husband was then able to rack the slide but I still could not. Doubting a 2nd return to S&W would prove successful, the charging ring was the last hope in making this gun work for me again and it has not disappointed. It was quick and easy to install, it looks good and has made the gun completely functional for me again. Of note, I am a female with weak hands from years of carpal tunnel syndrome and the charging ring has allowed me to shoot the Victory in our local steel plate matches. Thank you Tandemkross!

Oposing Thumb Relief
Having reached the far side of "the hill" opposing thumb grip pressure has noticeably declined too. The halo makes grip pressure a mute point by making any finger you can curl a slide racking powerhouse. Probably puts a smile on your face too.

I had received the charging ring as part of a package and I was fully prepared to think this was just ok and kind of a gimmick. I was almost going to leave it off, because lets face it racking the slide on the S&W 22 Victory is not that difficult. Once I looked it over I saw the fit and finish was great and it went on easier than changing grips I started to think maybe this will work pretty good. I have used it through about 250 rounds now and I am eating my words, it is fantastic. Now I am not a competition shooter but it is handy, easy, built well, and just plain works. It has not shifted or come loose, very rarely do I give 5 stars to anything but this simply has no flaws in my opinion and makes the pistol easier and more enjoyable. I think I will be getting another one for my Ruger Mark IV. Keep up the great work TK.

The charging ring simple to install and is the most effective improvement to the use of the Victory. The ease of charging compared to without it is night and day.

"Halo" Charging Ring for Smith & Wesson SW22 Victory
The Halo Charging Ring definitely makes operating the slide on my SW22 Victory a lot easier. It makes disassembly and reassembly a little more difficult, but, with practice, even that gets a little easier. I feel it is worth the minor inconvenience for what it was designed for. For what it's worth, I also have the "Halo" on my Browning Buckmark. I love it, also!

I like this Halo Charging Ring even more than I thought I would. The slide on my Victory was easier to rack than the one on my Ruger Mark III so I was not sure if the "Halo" would make much of a difference on my Victory. Well I have to tell you I am so glad I got it. It is now effortless to rack my slide. If you get one, you won't be disappointed.
