MkII 22/45 Magazine Green Springs
Not that I was having any issues, but as my MKII 22/45 is about 28 years old, I figured at this price, maybe I should update my magazine springs. I have learned that lack of routine magazine maintenance, is my #1 root cause for Failure To Feed, in ANY firearm. The FTF issue is usually the result of when the fast moving bolt comes to pickup the next round, the top round has a tendency to "dip down" at the nose, and thus resulting in an FTF. To overcome this, magazines respond well to frequent cleaning, and yes even a very light lubrication on the spring and the follower are critical. I use Wilson Combat Lube. It is slick, stays put, and requires only a drop of two spread around. Fortunately Ruger MK magazines are designed where the spring puts ALL it's pressure on the nose end of the follower, so putting a strong spring in should be a plus. The new Green Springs were over an inch longer than the 28 year olds, and much more stiff, which also made them more challenging to install, as they kept wanting to snake out. I overcame this by using an actual "chop stick" as a temporary spring guide to get the spring into the magazine frame, where then I could hold it, insert the base plate plug, and slip the base plate on.

Nice springs
These springs are excellent after long usage I've had some of my Ruger magazines where the springs just get a little tired and I start having malfunctions with the feeding the ammo to the chamber and so the quick fix is just to buy these green springs the only thing is they are longer than the stock spring and they have considerably more tension and a little bit tough getting pushed down in there but not all that bad. With most magazines when you have problems it's usually a spring issue so this is an easy fix and I would recommend these.

Green Springs
Seem to work good .A little harder to install as they are longer than my old springs. Was not having problems with the old springs but thought I would try these. Have shot 3 matches and 3 practices with the new springs and all is well.
