GearBox Installation Instructions for the Browning Buck Mark

At a glance:

  • Upgraded sear spring lowers trigger pull weight by .5lbs or more!*
  • Installation frame houses spring for easy installation and consistent sear engagement
  • No need to experiment with DIY spring fixes - one simple drop-in replacement!

The Browning Buck Mark has a great trigger right out of the box. But if you’re like many Browning Buck Mark owners, you’ve likely researched ways to lower the gun’s trigger pull weight and adjust the feel even further.

There are many DIY solutions out there, including the well-known “Heggis Flip” or Buck Mark sear spring flip. But these solutions can be complicated to perform, provide inconsistent results and can cause potentially dangerous issues with the fire control system.

Put an end to DIY fixes with the new GearBox for Browning Buck Mark from TANDEMKROSS! The GearBox is a simple, drop-in replacement for the factory Buck Mark sear spring that makes installation easier and lightens the trigger pull weight.

The GearBox comes complete with a redesigned torsion spring housed in a polymer installation frame. The frame captures the spring for easy installation and then, once installed, works as a guide for the spring, ensuring proper alignment and consistent engagement with the sear.

Simplify your trigger upgrades and install the TANDEMKROSS GearBox today. Pair with a Browning Buck Mark “Victory” Trigger for ultimate performance!

*Individual trigger pull weight results may vary.

*Fits all Buck Mark models including the Buck Mark Rifle

    Best accessory ever purchased

Posted by Jeremy Wagner on 30th Oct 2020

As a non-gunsmith I was amazed when I found how easy this was to install. I can do legos eight he best of them and that’s exactly what this is. When completed, this brought my trigger pull to 2.5 lbs +/- .1. Just wow. I never thought I could have a trigger that good by spending a few bucks and 10 minutes. TK made a gem!

This is one of those rare instances where a product works exactly as described. I watch the video on how to install this, and it was 100% accurate. It went in easily, worked just as advertised, and has lightened my trigger pull. This is a great product!

Very easy install. Also installed Victory trigger. Between the two cut triggering pull in half! When I reviewed the trigger, I indicated I had installed a Thunder hammer in the Browning. That was an error, the hammer was installed in a SW Victory. Sorry! Buy the trigger and gearbox, you will not be disappointed!

    The GearBox is great

Posted by Scott 22 on 11th Oct 2020

The GearBox made a significant improvement to the trigger pull of my Buckmark. It had a crisp trigger, but I always thought the heavy pull on mine was a real downside and impacted accuracy. I installed the GearBox, and what a difference! I just went through 200 rounds after the install, and it functioned perfectly. The gun is so much more fun now that the trigger pull is lighter.

Excellent upgrade. Reduced trigger pull and seems to also slightly reduce trigger travel.

    Didn't work for me.

Posted by Mike on 2nd Oct 2020

Got this because I'd read that flipping the sear spring to get a lighter trigger pull was difficult. Installed the gearbox according to instructions, including moving the spring over so it popped out of the slot and pressed against the sear. It didn't apply enough pressure to the sear for the sear to engage the hammer. Tried reinstalling several times with same results. I ended up flipping the original sear spring (it really isn't all that hard) and got a beautiful light trigger pull sith no problems. Returned gearbox to TK for refund. Great customer service!

Get this with the Tandemkross straight trigger. You won't reget it! Feels like a finely tuned 1911 trigger!
