"GearBox" Installation Instructions for the Browning Buck Mark
At a glance:
- Upgraded sear spring lowers trigger pull weight by .5lbs or more!*
- Installation frame houses spring for easy installation and consistent sear engagement
- No need to experiment with DIY spring fixes - one simple drop-in replacement!
The Browning Buck Mark has a great trigger right out of the box. But if you’re like many Browning Buck Mark owners, you’ve likely researched ways to lower the gun’s trigger pull weight and adjust the feel even further.
There are many DIY solutions out there, including the well-known “Heggis Flip” or Buck Mark sear spring flip. But these solutions can be complicated to perform, provide inconsistent results and can cause potentially dangerous issues with the fire control system.
Put an end to DIY fixes with the new “GearBox” for Browning Buck Mark from TANDEMKROSS! The “GearBox” is a simple, drop-in replacement for the factory Buck Mark sear spring that makes installation easier and lightens the trigger pull weight.
The “GearBox” comes complete with a redesigned torsion spring housed in a polymer installation frame. The frame captures the spring for easy installation and then, once installed, works as a guide for the spring, ensuring proper alignment and consistent engagement with the sear.
Simplify your trigger upgrades and install the TANDEMKROSS “GearBox” today. Pair with a Browning Buck Mark “Victory” Trigger for ultimate performance!
*Individual trigger pull weight results may vary.
*Fits all Buck Mark models including the Buck Mark Rifle

Smooth
Trigger pull is very smooth and comfortable, I definitely like how it shoots!

Had to have Tandkross send a replacement for this, first one had a very short spring and would not engage the sear, if you buy it and it doesn't work, check the spring leg length.

Tandemkross over the top
I purchased and returned a gear box to Tandemkross. I could not get the sear to reset, following instructions and reinstalling several times. Tandemkross sent me a replacement. I reinstalled new gear box. I recommend that after one pulls the new spring into place with a pick, take a slim screw driver and push down in front of the gear box, releasing the spring from the sear and then pull out screw driver. This allows the spring to reset naturally into the grove in the sear. I think the spring was pulled past the sear notch when initially engaging the spring. I have now shot more than 150 rounds with no fail to reset of the trigger. Trigger pull reduced to about 3#'s. I would recommend this upgrade. I have to commend the Tandemkross team for working with me to satisfy their customer.

Makes removal and installation easy during cleaning or any maintenance. I was able to tune the spring slightly for desired trigger pull. I have one older generation of Buckmark's and had to make minor changes to the gear box to get installed.

The "GearBox" sear spring installation is much easier with this enclosed version. A solid improvement for the Browning Buck Mark. Easy to install and improves trigger break somewhat.

I never had a problem installing the original spring but, this is even easier to install. I do believe that this upgrade made for a more consistent and smoother pull..

Installed the "Gear Box" in my wife's Browning Buckmark over top of the Tandemkross "Ultimate" trigger. Installation was VERY easy(3 minutes)and simple. Trigger pull is now sub-three pounds and very crisp. Another good & affordable product from Tandemkross!
