The product includes a flat washer in addition to an o-ring. For firearm models that utilize a thread adapter (ie: TX22, P22, SR22) or models with a thin-profile barrel, TANDEMKROSS recommends installing the flat washer, o-ring, and then compensator in that order. For fixed-barrel firearms with a barrel diameter greater than .800", the flat washer is typically not needed.

Now this is an accessory that I almost didn't buy . Now that I did it the Victory POPs! Witte aviAdds that finish Bad to bone look! Helps on the balance somewhat too! Great compensator
I've bought several of these. One for myself and some for my friends who've never shot a 22 with a compensator. They are very easy to put on. They are a great price. They work. My friends immediately felt the difference handling the pistols. It works on both the S&W Victory and Ruger. Its a slightly different diameter than the S&W barrel but still looks and works good.

Compensator much louder
I found that the compensator does not screw on flush along with cutouts aligned properly. To align the openings with the barrel there is still a quarter turn on the threads available. Also noticed that the compensator amplify's the shot great. I find myself definitely having to wear ear protection with the compensator on the gun.
