The product includes a flat washer in addition to an o-ring. For firearm models that utilize a thread adapter (ie: TX22, P22, SR22) or models with a thin-profile barrel, TANDEMKROSS recommends installing the flat washer, o-ring, and then compensator in that order. For fixed-barrel firearms with a barrel diameter greater than .800", the flat washer is typically not needed.

the only problem is the outside diameter of the comp is bigger than the vorquartsen (sp) barrel have to get a gunsmith to turn it down to match the barrel.

Looks great, fits great and price is great. I have no experience with suppressor's so cannot personally evaluate. However, A couple friends on my pistol team shot my Mk IV 22/45 and they said they felt like it reduced recoil and one of them indicated he liked the game changer and halo ring. I cannot do any mods. to grip frame at this time as I am waiting for safety retrofit by Ruger.

Great Compensator, but...
The installation instructions are very straight up that the threading is different on each barrel so getting the ports to line up with the front sights is a challenge. I am not comfortable with taking down the length of the compensator by sanding or other method, so I screwed around with o-ring and washer combos until I got everything to line up with only a 1/32" gap between the barrel and compensator. I can live with that. As with all compensators and muzzle brakes, this will make your pistol considerably louder and visible fire shoots through the ports. Coolness at no extra charge!
