"Fire Starter" Titanium Firing Pin for Ruger MKI, MKII, MKIII, MKIV & 22/45
- Titanium is 40% lighter than steel
- Helps reduce lock time for higher accuracy
- Non-corrosive and highly durable
- TANDEMKROSS LIFETIME guarantee
The TANDEMKROSS "Fire Starter" Titanium Firing Pin for Ruger® MK™ Series is a drop in replacement for the factory firing pin. A titanium firing pin is lighter and moves faster than a heavier steel pin. This reduces lock time and allows the gun to go off faster which can help to improve accuracy. The lighter titanium pin is resistant to mushrooming and will provide repeatability with positive primer strikes. With less deformation of the casing due to the lighter weight of the firing pin it can also lead to better extraction. The stability of titanium over steel makes it an ideal choice of material when operating in extreme heat or cold conditions.

Fire Starter firing Pin
I was having some serious issues with consistent ignition after installing a name brand accessorizing kit into one of my 22 45 lites. These helped stop the problem. Nothing worse than clearing a jam on the clock!!! Again kudos to the T/K team for the excellent parts...

Mr
A really great upgrade to my Ruger Mark III. Installation is really easy, and it works like a champ - no more light primer strikes!

Seems good
Hard to tell if this makes a difference, but it seems like I have fewer No-fires than before. Not that it was a regular issue anyway.

Perfect install
Installed in Ruger Mk lV Hunter. Work great! The new FP leaves a distinctly wider strike mark on the fired case, than the original pin. That's good!

This firing pin ended my light primer strike problems. I would suggest trying it if you have been having light primer strike issues.

Lovy my MKI again
I ordered a extractor and firing pin, installed them and have had no malfunctions so far out of 100 rounds. I,m very pleased with that however, your extractor was 0.005 thicker than it should have been and would not fit until I thinned it down. That took 2 hours of rubbing it on emery paper to reduce the thickness. This was on a 1970 era MK I. Maybe the newer marks have a wider slot? It bears looking into. Your video on the extractor was a huge help. I am giving you five stars on the basis that the extractor may have to be hand fit in order to insure there is not an excessive amount of wobble. If that is the case please mention it on your website.
