The TANDEMKROSS Fire Starter Titanium Firing Pin for Ruger® Mark™ Series is a drop in replacement for the factory firing pin. A titanium firing pin is lighter and moves faster than a heavier steel pin. This reduces lock time and allows the gun to fire faster. The lighter titanium pin is resistant to mushrooming and will provide repeatability with positive primer strikes. With less deformation of the casing due to the lighter weight of the firing pin it can also lead to better extraction. The stability of titanium over steel makes it an ideal choice of material when operating in extreme heat or cold conditions.

firing pin
I was having ftf problems with my new ruger mk4 22/45. I was shooting bulk cheap ammo, because I like to put alot of rounds downrange. i was getting way too many ftf's. After installing this pin, took it out to function test. Fired 300-400 rnds. 1 ftf and it was the round that was a dud. I reset the round 3 times ,three different distinct primer hits. Confirmed a bad round. The stock firing pin is inexcusable. It make a far too narrow strike. Come on Ruger. But good for you tandemkross!

Works great!
I didn't have any problems with the stock firing pin, but had the bolt taken apart so I tossed one of these in while I was at it. Good peace of mind, and after 2000 rounds I only had one failure to fire; however that was the round itself since I tried firing it in another gun.
