The TANDEMKROSS Fire Starter Titanium Firing Pin for Ruger® Mark™ Series is a drop in replacement for the factory firing pin. A titanium firing pin is lighter and moves faster than a heavier steel pin. This reduces lock time and allows the gun to fire faster. The lighter titanium pin is resistant to mushrooming and will provide repeatability with positive primer strikes. With less deformation of the casing due to the lighter weight of the firing pin it can also lead to better extraction. The stability of titanium over steel makes it an ideal choice of material when operating in extreme heat or cold conditions.

This solved my infrequent failures to fire in my ruger mark 4 standard pistol. That said, this is my 4th tandem kross part for this ruger, and the first time for installing after market parts in a firearm. All are functioning flawlessly and I have brought this to the attention of several fellow plinkers! This has not gone unnoticed.

Titanium firing Pin
I installed the Fire Starter Titanium firing pin in my Ruger Mark VI 22/45 Lite, the installation was easy with the install video provided by Tandemkross. I get out to my favorite range to test out the new firing pin and it was a night and day difference from the factory installed firing pin. I have put over 1100 rounds after various visits to the range and no failure to fire at all. I highly recommend this this addition to your Ruger you will not be disappointed Buying this product.

RUGER MK III titanium firing pin.
I currently have three MK III pistols. All have new spring sets and two have the titanium firing pins. These two are the ones that had a lot Failure To Fire cartridges. I disassembled and cleaned all of the bolts and two had the pins replaced. Most of my issues were with 36 grain Federal ammo. Which I use a lot based on great prices. I also learned that switching to AGUILA HV 40 grain and the pin replacement resolved all issues. Which for target pistols was really a minor inconvenience. Also, I really appreciate the availability of all the Tandemkross "how to" videos. Thanks for that TK! Tom Marshall Buford, Georgia

This reduced my failed to fire on crap ammo from 1/20 to 1/100. Definitely worth the 22 I paid and easy to install.

Firing pin
During a routine cleaning of the bolt I saw that I needed to replace the firing pin spring. While I was at it I purchased the "Fire Starter". I saw an immediate difference in the weight. It was so much lighter. So far I have fired about 300 rounds since installing it and have had no misfires. It is working perfectly. I am very happy with my purchases from Tandemkross.
