Fire Starter Titanium Firing Pin for Ruger Mark Series
At a Glance:
- Titanium is 40% lighter than steel
- Helps reduce lock time for higher accuracy
- Non-corrosive and highly durable
The TANDEMKROSS Fire Starter Titanium Firing Pin for Ruger® Mark™ Series is a drop in replacement for the factory firing pin. A titanium firing pin is lighter and moves faster than a heavier steel pin. This reduces lock time and allows the gun to fire faster. The lighter titanium pin is resistant to mushrooming and will provide repeatability with positive primer strikes. With less deformation of the casing due to the lighter weight of the firing pin it can also lead to better extraction. The stability of titanium over steel makes it an ideal choice of material when operating in extreme heat or cold conditions.

Fire Starter Firing pin
This addition to my Mark III Target is working out just great. No issues at all. I also installed the Hammer bushing to remove the Mag safety. A+++ on tandemKross products.

For Competitive Shooting & Enthusiasts
The TandemKross Fire Starter is a great addition to the Ruger pistol, whether it's a 22/45 or MK I II III. It weighs a total of 3 grams as opposed to the factory steel pin coming in at 5 grams. It is a precision piece of equipment with a lubricious exterior making it less prone to build-up. A faster moving firing pin reduces lock time which is beneficial to accuracy. I installed this along with the Challenger Bolt Racker & Eagle's Claw Extractor in my Open Gun. It is utterly reliable with now FTFs, FTEs, or any other gun-related malfunctions. Essentially you'll have a Competition Bolt without the $240 entry fee. This is a great upgrade for anyone getting into competitive shooting as well as the budding gunsmith / 2A Enthusiast. Installation is very simple and the improved reliability makes this a sound upgrade through and through.
