"Fire Starter" Firing Pin Installation Instructions for the Browning Buck Mark

At a glance:

  • Made of lightweight titanium - 40% lighter weight!
  • Helps reduce lock time for improved accuracy
  • Non-corrosive and highly durable
  • Supports Buck Marks after the model year 2000

The TANDEMKROSS “Fire Starter” Titanium Firing Pin for Browning Buck Mark is a drop-in replacement for the factory firing pin. Made from lightweight, yet durable titanium, the “Fire Starter” Firing Pin moves faster than a heavier steel pin, reducing lock time and allowing the gun to go off faster, improving accuracy.

The durable titanium pin is resistant to mushrooming and can withstand both extreme cold and hot conditions, ensuring consistent positive primer strikes. The lightweight pin also results in less deformation of the casing, which can lead to better extraction.

Pair a “Fire Starter” Firing Pin with an “Eagle’s Talon” Extractor for Browning Buck Mark for the ultimate internals upgrade to reduce fail-to-fires and fail-to-ejects.

*Fits all Post 2000 Buck Mark models including the Buck Mark Rifle

Don't forget, all TANDEMKROSS products are Made in the USA and come with a LIFETIME guarantee!

    Buckmark firing pin

I am completely satisfied with all of your products. I have purchased a multitude of parts from you for my Buckmark and Taurus TX 22. Service was great and always on time. I recently had a problem with a firing pin and you took care of the issue promptly. I recently told my son about you and he purchased a trigger package and Williams sights for his Mark IV. Great job keep up the excellent work. ?

    Titanium Firing Pin

This part was super easy to install. The only thing that confused me was the bevel on the tip; I wasn't sure which way to turn it. I rewatched the installation video and found that it didn't matter. I was surprised as how worn the stainless-steel original pin had on it when I took it out. The new one was lighter and seemed better made. The only way I can describe the result is that the firing mechanism feels "crisper" than it did before. I am very pleased with the result.

    Browning Buck Mark firing pin

Fired over 325 22 LR's without a single misfire. The install was quick and easy. The price is well worth the quality received. This should be a standard factory install.

    Incompatible with Older Models

Posted by Dominic on 19th Jul 2023

I have a 1994 Buckmark, which uses a different style of firing pin and firing pin spring. The firing pin I bought from tandemkross is incompatible. It appears well made and seems like a good upgrade, if it works with your model of Buckmark. Overall, it s on me for not reading the product description close enough.

Since I have installed the new firing pin, I have had only a couple of misfires. before I installed it, I was having a misfire about one every 10 rounds.

    Fire Starter firing pin Buckmark

Started getting light strikes and extraction problems in my 2014 buck mark. Order Fire Starter Firing Pin and extractor now everything works great. I'm only giving a 4 star because they should include a new spring with firing pin. Had a hard time finding one.

    Firing Pin

Definitely more detent in the rim of the bullet case. It hits harder and if it's going to go bang, this will do it's job to make sure there are not any light strikes. Great Job on this one!

To sum it up quickly. I purchased one for my first Browning BuckMark. I've now purchased two more for my other BuckMarks. For my personal use these are great. Very satisfied. Time will tell how they function long term.
