TANDEMKROSS SW22 Victory "Eagle's Talon" Extractor Claw Installation Instructions

At a glance:

  • Machined from hardened tool steel to last a lifetime
  • Sharp "hook" design grabs casings securely and surely
  • Reduces failures-to-eject and "stove-pipe" malfunctions

The TANDEMKROSS "Eagle's Talon" Extractor for SW22 Victory® is a much-needed reliability upgrade that replaces the factory-provided extractor. The factory extractor often can’t maintain a secure enough hold on the spent casing as the pistol is cycling, causing stove-pipes and failures-to-eject malfunctions. TANDEMKROSS "Eagle's Talon" Extractor is CNC-machined with a positive hook that will grab and secure each round until it needs to be ejected.

While the factory extractor can chip- reducing its ability to consistently extract spent casings- the “Eagle’s Talon” extractor upgrade is machined from hardened tool steel for long-term strength and durability.

Eliminate your frustrations at the range and during speed shooting competitions with the “Eagle's Talon" Extractor for SW22 Victory®!

    "Eagle's Talon" Extractor for SW22 Victory®

I replaced my factory extractor in the hope to get less stowepipe issues with faster ammo. It did not help. However when using slower ammo (< 1,100 fps), it works like a charm. No ejection issue with more than 1,000 rounds.

    Great upgrade

Posted by Shawn Fyffe on 4th Dec 2021

My SW22 was rather unreliable and frustrating until I installed the extractor, plunger, and sorting and tweaked the ejector a touch. Now it runs without a hiccup. If you don t have these, get them now.

    Eagle Talon extractor

The installation was very easy to do. I lubricanted the pistol like the service manual recommended. I then took the Victory 22 to the range to see if this upgrade would solve my issues with this pistol. I put 8 rounds 36 grain bullets into the magazine, all was fine with that first magazine. The 2nd magazine had a misfire after just 3 shots. Tried different bullet amounts, and still had misfires and jamming. I've tried different types of bullet manufactures and different grain size bullets and I'm still getting feeding issues. I'm sending the pistol back to Smith and Wesson either to be repaired or replaced with a whole new pistol.

    Worked like they said!

I hated my SW22 Victory since every other round was a jam up, stove pipe and failed to eject. Would not even eject hollow points at all. I was ready to smash this pos into a tree! Then I decided to look thru youtube for known issues. I found this little extractor replacement for $14.99 what could it hurt? I ordered it and lo' and behold, IT WORKED!!! Thank you guys!!!! I love my gun now!!
