Eagle Eye sight set for Taurus TX 22

Posted by Eric S. on 18th May 2022

Great product, far superior to the 3-dot white sight set that comes standard on the tx22. I had to file a substantial amount of material off of the rear sight to allow for proper fitment into the rear dovetail of my tx22's slide. No big deal as this is clearly mentioned in the disclaimer made on the TandemKross website. However it was kind of a bummer as the rear of the rear sight plate was the easiest part to file down and still maintain the proper angle to fit into the dovetail cut in the pistol slide, therefore removing the black finish and leaving a very bright, and visible aluminum that can be a bit distracting to the eye when trying to focus on getting a correct sight picture. Nothing a little black touch-up paint can't fix! Excellent videos on how to properly mount both front and rear sights! Great company, will definitely order from them again, especially if they can come up with some upgrades for my new Sig Sauer P322 (thinking, suppressor height co-witness sight set for use with a micro red dot)

    Rear sight fitting

Posted by Matthew Taylor on 10th May 2022

Front sight fit fine . The rear sight bound up half way sliding it on and I had to cut the sight off and put my old sights back on. Now my bevels slots are tore up. But everything else in the kit is good

    Great Sight

Posted by DTN on 20th Apr 2022

Very pleased with this sight, I wish I had purchased this first. Had bought another fiber optic sight that lacked elevation adjustment, which was always shooting high. Was able to dial this one in dead on. Much more fun to shoot now.

    They work...

    Posted by BDL1 on 3rd Apr 2022

They definitely work. BUT...they are tall and catch on everything. The light pipe front sight is pretty big. I'm guessing these are more gear towards competition. As a target shooter that large front sight obliterates farther away targets. Them being as obtrusive as they as stops them from being a CCW option. Bought these to try out on the TX22. But had hoped they would be an option for the G2c. They definitely are not. Required a bit of fitting the rear sight. Additional loctite was needed for the front sight to stay in place. Have put around 700 rnds since installed the sights and it does keep zero from each range trip. But because the sights are just so big no longer use a holster to transport, but a padded case. Not sure I will keep them on. Have yet to try the Ghost Ring which I am a fan of on other guns. Though the aperture on this one is rather large in comparison. Again, I think it's geared towards competition shooters. Both front and rear are well made, so no QC issues at all. Great product, but probably not for me on this particular gun.

    iNSTALLATION

Posted by John on 3rd Apr 2022

Rear sight is well made but lacking instructions even on the companies video. Front sight requires slight modification to pull down to top of slide. No problem. Rear sight would not enter dovetail cut in slide period. I ruined the rear sight base removing too much material and had to purchase a new rear sight. The slide tolerances are not consistent on this firearms slide. Not Tandemkross fault, but they should offer more detailed instructions in fitting the rear sight. A gunsmith and sight install is not worth the price of the whole firearm.
