Cornerstone Rotary Safety for Ruger® PC Carbine™ Installation Instructions

At a Glance:

  • Ambidextrous, rotary safety; right or left hand friendly
  • Allows for single handed use without having to break grip
  • Clearly shows safe or fire from either side of the firearm

The TANDEMKROSS family of Cornerstones just got bigger! Introducing the Cornerstone Rotary Safety for Ruger® PC Carbine™.

While cross bolt (push-button) safeties are fairly easy to use, they can still be improved. One crucial flaw with the traditional cross-bolt design is that the only person who can easily, visually confirm the SAFE or FIRE state of the firearm is the user. Another weakness to be improved is that regardless of whether you are left- or right-handed, you have to break your grip at least once when toggling between SAFE or FIRE.

Our ambidextrous safety solves both of these issues with a single upgrade! The Cornerstone’s levers on both sides of the firearm visibly show a clear difference between SAFE and FIRE to the user and those standing nearby. You can also switch between SAFE and FIRE while maintaining a firm grip on the firearm with your shooting hand!

A toggle-style safety selector also reduces the possibility of an accidental button push. Resting your firearm on an uneven surface or something else bumping the housing could potentially switch a cross bolt safety from the intended SAFE or FIRE position to its unintended opposite. A rotary safety helps ensure a change in the firearm’s state must be intentional and helps to make it safer.

Cornerstone Safeties are already major upgrades for the Ruger® Mark IV™ and Mark IV™ 22/45™. The Cornerstone Rotary Safety was previously only available with the Manticore Trigger Assembly for Ruger® 10/22®, but can now be yours for your Ruger® PC Carbine™ or PC Charger™!

Make your life easier! Grab an ambidextrous Cornerstone Rotary Safety for Ruger® PC Carbine™ and make your good gun great today!

Compatibility Note: TANDEMKROSS’s Cornerstone Rotary Safety is compatible with factory Ruger® PC Carbine™ polymer trigger housings. Compatibility with aftermarket trigger housings is not guaranteed.

Don’t forget, all TANDEMKROSS products are made in the USA and come with a LIFETIME guarantee!

    Almost perfect

Posted by Greg Pettis on 13th May 2023

Being from the world of correct-handed crowd, it is so nice to have companies make stuff like this, so we can be included in the fun. Thank you [TK]. After looking for almost 5 years for a PCC that works for a correct-handed person, it turns out none are perfect, none are 100% ambidextrous, some just cannot be fixed, the one or two that do almost work, well they tend to break the budget. Then there are after market companies who fix things on the ones that only need a tweak or two. For the Ruger PCC, the Cornerstone Rotary Safety is almost perfect. The one thing that would make it perfect is; if the levers did not have to be removed to pull the receiver from the stock. Thiner levers or turn the fat part inward, work wit Ruger to open up the stock? Anyway the Cornerstone Rotary Safety combined with the [TK] extended bolt stop bring the Ruger PC to a very desirable level of performance for a correct-handed person. Thanks again [TK]

Probably my only gripe on this platform was the safety. TK knocked it out of the park with the product!!

    Important Installation note

Posted by Mike on 4th May 2023

The installation video is good but it's done with the trigger housing uninstalled. I have the original stock on my gun and after installing the safety it would NOT fit back into the stock with the levers installed. It's too wide. I had to remove the safety levers then slide the stock on and attach the levers. The video is good but take care of orientation looking at the housing as depicted versus doing it while the gun is assembled. It could be deceiving. Overall a really good addition to the gun increasing its functionality. TK nails it again.
