Worked great!
I have 2 Marlin 1897 lever action rifles in 22LR. Both had chamber damage due to inadvertent dry firing over many years. This tool is really slick! Just clean the chamber, add some oil to the chamber and tool, insert and rotate! You can feel the tool pass over the bump in the chamber as it tries to push back out. Just add some pressure and rotate until it turns smoothly. They chamber is back to normal! Note: It does not come with a handle. I had very limited access to the chamber and used a section of an aluminum cleaning rod to match the 8-32 threads.

I had been looking for this device for my tool kit, fit, finish is excellent, clean clean your chamber, lube lube your chamber, iron a little at a time, don't expect miracles, didn't repair decades of abuse, probably more effective on less expensive firearms because of barrel steel quality

22 Chamber Iron
I've had an old Mossberg lever action 22 for a long time.Every time I shot it I'd have to drive the spent shell out with a cleanung rod. I hadn't touched it in 25 years. I came across this iten here and decided to give it a try. Shipping was unbelievably fast.Today was the day. I took the side plate off and removed the bolt.Cleaned and oiled the hamber and tapped the chamber iron in a bit. A few turns with a 1/4" box wrench and tapped it in a bit more and continued. 5 minutes later I was done. Put a shell in and turned the rifle up and out it dropped! Before I couldn't even chamber a round completely with my finger. The best $30 I ever spent! I have as much invested in this tool as I did in the rifle but now I can shoot it!
